Hi I'm Andrew

I was born in California but grew up in Tennessee. I have webbed toes and love all sports. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have always been a very normal kid my whole life. I loved all sports since I was a little kid. I wasn't too much of a troublemaker as a boy but as a teenager I have tested my parents patience time after time. I have been accepted into college at BYU Provo but have deferred my enrollment due to my recent mission call to New Zealand. There have been a lot of times in my life when I've just doubted myself, the Church and even Heavenly Father but thankfully I have been blessed to have grown up in an amazing family with so many incredible examples constantly put in my path. I don't know where I would be without my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church my whole life and it wasn't until I was about 12 when i started to gain my own testimony of my Savior. My oldest brother who has been an amazing example to me all my life, left on a mission for 2 years. Reading his emails every week and hearing him talk about his testimony strengthening made me wonder if I knew for myself that this Church was true or even that my Heavenly Father loved me and knew who I was. In the hardest times of my life when I am really struggling for guidance, I hold on to what I know to be true. I know with my whole heart that my Heavenly Father loves me and knows me and knows each of His Children. When we mess up He is just waiting and begging us to come back to Him. He will never give up on us. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that His church has been restored today through the prophet Joseph Smith. I have felt that authority and blessings in my life from that proper authority and there is no doubt that it is His church. I want nothing more than to share this with everyone around me because I know how happy it will make them.

How I live my faith

I am young and have not held too many callings that require a lot of time and sacrifice but going home teaching with my dad has taught me a lot. It has probably been one of the biggest preparations for missionary work that I wouldn't expect simply because I had never really learned to love the people I would visit. I had always had some terrible misunderstanding about why some people had stopped coming to church and made unfair judgements, home teaching taught me how to love the people I was serving. Sympathize with their needs and encourage them and help them as much as possible without diminishing my own dedication to my Gospel knowledge. That's what our Savior did and that's the example that we've commanded to live by.
