Hi I'm Rick Hatch

I am an engineer studying at BYU. I am striving to be a better person, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have interest in playing various sports, particularly volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee. I enjoy physical activities such as hiking and backpacking. I am studying to become an engineer, and love learning about how the world works, and the physical processes that describe the world around us. I enjoy my friendships in life, particularly with close friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God lives. I know through his tender mercies directed to help me. I know through the guiding and prompting of the holy ghost, and by studying and pondering the scriptures. I know that in my hardest, and most troubling times, that I have the support of knowing that there is a God that knows and helps me. Throughout my life, I can see examples of Christ helping and guiding my life.

How I live my faith

I am an active church member. I regularly spend time to hometeach others, to help support those in times of need. I make my faith a priority in my life, and I continually try to become more like Jesus Christ. I have organized activities within the church to create interactive socially events.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Rick Hatch
We do not have a paid clergy so that serving in the church is truly about Christ and love rather than about monetary gain. By having an unpaid clergy, church leaders are motivated by love, and a desire to serve others. An unpaid Clergy also means that church funds are used solely to build God's kingdom, and help people in their need. Show more Show less
