Hi I'm Kyle

I love to ski, try new foods, and find and listen to new music. I am serving a 2 year mission in Seoul, Korea. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently serving as a missionary in Seoul, Korea for 2 years. As a missionary I try to lead a Christ-like life, spreading the word of God and serving others. Before my call to serve as a missionary, I graduated high school and attended one year of college. After my mission I will plan to finish my undergraduate studies, majoring in Marketing. Between classes I spent most of my time hanging out with friends and enjoying the outdoors. I am one of 4 children to 2 of the best parents anyone could ask for. My family has encouraged me in all of my passions, especially missionary work. A few of my favorite things to do are skiing, cooking, trying new foods, traveling, finding and listening to different kinds of music and spending time with friends. I consider myself an optimist, and I almost always have a smile on my face.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with parents who were Mormon, and whose parents were Mormon. In fact, many of my ancestors were Mormon pioneers who helped settle the Salt Lake Valley in, what is now, the state of Utah. With the positive influence of family members, and my own personal study of the scriptures, I have been converted to the Mormon church, or as it is officially named, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Through study and different experiences in my life, I can say that I know that the principals and teachings of this church are true. I grew up in a part of the United States where being a Mormon was not common. I was the only Mormon in my grade throughout my entire grade-school education. I believe that being different than everyone around me helped to make my belief stronger. As a missionary I want to help others feel the same peace and joy I do because of this gospel.

How I live my faith

Currently, I live my faith by serving a mission. Serving a mission in our church means dedicating 2 full years to serving others and spreading the word of our church. During their missions, missionaries do not attend classes or keep a job. Serving the Lord is already a full-time job for us missionaries. In addition to the service work and preaching that goes into a mission, I attend church every Sunday. Church is an important part of my life, because, not only do members of our church get to learn about the Gospel, but we also get to partake of the sacrament, a holy ordinance.
