I'm from South Africa and I'm a missionary serving in the England Leeds Mission. Im a Mormon

About Me

Hi my name is Wandile Sibisi Im from South Africa, currently serving In the England Leeds Mission . And I'm a Mormon. I have been for five years. I love being a Mormon I enjoy discovering great truths in the scriptures, I love going to church activities especially YSA ones. I believe that when people with the same intrests, values and standards meet together and have strengthening activities it really benefits ones self-esteem, I'm a down to earth person who enjoys being around people. I love art and drawing I find it interesting and a great hobby and profession. I love music, my favorite musical instrument is the piano and guitar, my father plays the clarinet and the piano I guess I got the love for music from him...I love listening to all types of music inspiring music. My family is the most important thing to me. I grew up not having got what I always wanted but having my family around always made me feel like I had everything. My parents have been great examples to me, although not members of the church they have taught me a lot of meaningful and helpful things. It wasn't always them counseling and lecturing me that I learnt to be obedient, but them beings examples meant they didn't always have to talk to me about how to behave and carry yourself. I enjoy reading books...for me its like watching a movie but even better. I never forget a book I've read be it five years ago or ten years ago I don't forget it.

Why I am a Mormon

When I met the missionaries I was a teenager fascinated by friends, sports and the latest dance move. I had a lot going in my life and didn't pay much attention to what they were saying. My sister was the one to approach the missionaries she worked a daily job as a sales associate at a store near by, she would always see these two young men dressed white shirts and ties. So one day she went up to them and asked them what they do,if they were sales people. They told her they were missionaries of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints and they meet every sunday at a nearby city hall. She told them she worked sundays but could ask my oldest sister to come by and see the church. My oldest sister being a person of religion who loved going to different churches took the oppotunity and went. When she describes it she said, she stood on the other side of the road and watched as people entered into the building, the missionaries were standing outside and noticed her standing on the other side of the road and invited her to come, when she approached them she said they had the warmest and purist smiles on their faces that pushed away all her fears and welcomed her into the service. From then on the missionaries started teaching me, my older sisters and younger brother and we were baptised that same year. I am mormon because no other religion makes sense to me than being a mormon. Being a mormon has changed my life for the better and I can see it improving my life day by day as I read my scripters go to church, live righteously and pray everyday. It was by praying that i came to know that this church has the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ...By praying to know I found out for myself and read the book of mormon, my life never was the same again..and it blessed my life and my family too.

How I live my faith

Since I was baptised I lived my faith by going to church every sunday, attending all church activities especialy youth ones where I had the opportunity to meet people I will be life long friends with. I read from my scriptures everyday which consists of the bible, book of mormon. I live my faith by sharing what Ive learnt from this gospel and my wonderful experiances to as many people as I can each day as part of my purpose as a missionary. Iv always shared the gospel with my friends and family which is why I had the desire to come on a mission and share it with more people. serving my mission in England has been a big learning experiance for me. I've never felt the spirit of the lord so powerful than I have on my mission. As a missionary i live my faith by trying my best to being dilligent to my calling as a missionary, developing Christ like attributes which are faith, hope, charity and love which will help me be closer to God and also be able to serve my fellow beings. I also live my faith by doing all the things that require me to be able to return to live with my heavenly father, that is keeping the commandments, fulfilling my callings in the church, being obedient and living righteousely I remember always the wors of the prophet moroni in the book of mormon when he says "come unto Christ and be perfected in him" I marvel at the fact that i do not need to be perfect before I come unto him but that all I need to do is come unto him and be made perfect.
