Hi I'm Beth

Psychology student from England. Lover of music, all things beautiful; and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Beth, I'm 20 years old and I come from Doncaster, England. I'm a Psychology student. I enjoy playing and listening to all kinds of music, I enjoy participating in sports such as motocross racing. And I occasionally do crazy things like shark cage diving.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but haven't always known that it is true. I started to doubt my beliefs in my teenage years and a couple of years later decided to read the Book of Mormon myself for the first time, cover to cover, and pray to know if it was true. Over time I got my answer and that is why I'm a member of this church today. I never had a defining moment in my life where I knew this church was true, but instead an accumulation of feelings from the Holy Ghost that my Heavenly Father was there and that he loves me. I am the person I am today because of the standards of this wonderful church. My membership in this gospel is the greatest blessing in my life. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that it is another testament of Jesus Christ. And if this is true then Joseph Smith must have been a prophet of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet on this earth today and that God speaks to his children today, through him, just as he did in the Old Testament. Jesus Christ is my literal brother and friend. His sacrifice saves us all and I am eternally grateful to him. A great comfort and happiness comes from knowing these things with a surety. Feelings that cannot be replicated by any earthly knowledge or substance.

How I live my faith

I am the second counselor in the Young Women's programme. I love each of the girls in Young Women's and love what a great opportunity it is to serve each of them and help them come unto Christ. Life isn't easy, but I find the best way to help ourselves is by losing ourselves in the service of others. No joy can equal the joy of serving others.
