Hi I'm Dorothy Botello

I'm a sister, aunt, and wife. I'm an accounting student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an accounting student finishing up my last year of school. I met my husband while in school and we have been married for just under a year. I enjoy hiking, reading, watching movies and spending time with my husband. I love being a student and learning about the world around me. Being married has also been teaching me a lot. I am also a sister and an aunt. I love my family very much and am very blessed to have good relationships with every member.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because I have been born and raised in this religion. I have stayed in this church because it brings peace, hope, love, and happiness into my life. The knowledge that I receive from being a Mormon is the greatest blessing in my life. Because of this church I know where I came from, why I am here on Earth, and that my life will not end after this worldly journey. I know that I will be able to live with my family forever. Through this gospel I know that I can repent for my wrong doings and be forgiven by a loving Heavenly Father. I know that Jesus Christ died for our sins and that He is our redeemer if we choose to live a worthy life and do our best to follow His example. Through His atonement I know that I do not need to suffer unbearable pains because He has already suffered them for me. I know that I have never passed the point of no return and that a loving Heavenly Father will always share his mercy with me for my shortcomings when I have done all that I can do. I am a Mormon because this gospel makes me happy and joyful. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ influence and guide my life to place me in the best situations for me. They love me enough to help me with my day to day life. I can always know if I am on the right path and if I am doing the things I am supposed to because of this gospel. I know that this church is true because I have lived it and tested it through my experiences. I have seen and felt the love of Heavenly Father in my life and because of this I will always be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to put Heavenly Father first in every aspect of my life. He has blessed me with everything I have so it's only appropriate to seek His guidance and council in all that I do. I try to serve people around me as well. Looking for opportunities to help and serve in the community and the people around me helps to bring me closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. In serving I am able to help and lift others burdens and build friendships and hopefully answer some peoples' prayers. My husband and I try to help each other live our faith by praying daily together and studying the teachings of the scriptures and prophets. Through simple acts of discipleship, such as reading the scriptures, praying, going to church, and leading a happy lifestyle, I am able to live my faith.
