Hi I'm Kassidy

I grew up in Idaho. I am leaving for a mission soon. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in a small town that was mostly Mormon. I am going on a mission to Chile. I am going to attend Utah State University when I return. I am not the most talented athlete, but because I lived in a small town I was able to play football, basketball, and golf. I had many great experiences playing sports and it was good for me as well because most of my coaches were Mormon and understood my beliefs. I haven't been able to see a lot of other religions, but I do have a sister who is catholic along with the rest of her family. I have been pretty sheltered in the small community I live in, but I will soon be in a pretty big city and it will be a big change for me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was raised in the church, learned about the gospel, felt that it was true, and I got baptized. In our church we make the decision to get baptized at 8. Since then I have learned many new things and have felt the spirit many times. I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and I know that it is true. I've always known this was the one and only true church on the Earth today. It just makes sense. I know that the Bible is the word of God as far as it is translated correctly and there are many things in the Bible that show that this church is the true church. I know that the prophet speaks for God and I do my best to follow everything that he says. I know that we are the only church on the Earth today that has the power and authority to baptize and do many other saving ordinances. I want to serve a mission so I can share this gospel with others and let them share in the happiness I feel because I am a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I have been going to church every Sunday since before I can even remember. I don't miss a lot of church and the church I do miss is mostly because of illness. I have been in many leadership roles growing up in the church. There are 3 different youth groups for young men and I have been in leadership positions in all of them. It has been a great opportunity and has helped me be able to plan things better. I have also given talks in sacrament meeting which have helped with my public speaking skills.
