Hi I'm Rebecca

I live in Kaysville Utah. I love to sing, dance, and play the piano and clarinet. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and am the third of six children in my family, five girls and one boy. My older sisters are both married and I have one adorable nephew!! I love spending time with my family. They are my best friends and I love them so much! I lived the first three years of my life in Iowa, USA. Some of my hobbies include singing and dancing. I have been in several musicals and have taken many different dance classes including ballet and tap. I was a part of the band and marching band programs at my high school playing the clarinet. I completed one year of college at BYU and am currently serving a mission in Toronto Canada!

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel with all of my heart. I was not converted in a single moment, but moments throughout my life that have changed my heart and built the testimony that I have today. This gospel brings me true happiness, and I cannot imagine what my life would be like without it. Every day I am grateful for the knowledge that I am a daughter of God and that He loves me for who I am. I've found great comfort in that knowledge. I know that with his help I can accomplish any good thing that I put my mind to. I know that he has helped me countless times when I have felt like giving up. In the darkest parts of my life I've always been able to find the light of his love. He has never and will never leave me to face a trial on my own. I know that I can't do this life on my own, and that I don't have to, because He is there for me. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know that it is perfectly true and that it was translated by Joseph Smith, a prophet of God. I know that God does still speak to prophets today and I am so grateful that I have to the chance to hear their words. They truly are inspired men. I know that prayer is real, and that Heavenly Father listens to my prayers. He cares about everything that matters to me because he loves me. I'm so grateful for the chance to be able to talk to him everyday. I have faith that Heavenly Father won't ever give me a trial that I can't handle and that He has a plan for me in everything, even when I can't see it. I trust that his plan will do nothing but help me to become a better person and to eventually be able to return and live with him and my family again some day. I know that this is possible through my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. I know that He sacrificed his life for me and my sins and struggles and I love him for it. I will strive to live my life every day in a way that shows him that I am grateful. I love this gospel endlessly and I am grateful that there is always still so much that I can learn.

How I live my faith

As a youth I participated in as many activities and service projects with our ward as I could. I filled several church leadership positions in youth programs such as Young Women's and Seminary. At BYU I had the opportunity to serve the girls in my Relief Society as part of my calling. I thoroughly enjoyed working with a committee of girls who were true examples of Christlike charity. I learned a lot from them and that experience, including how to look outside of myself to help others. I try to attend the temple weekly because I know the blessings that come from spending time in the Lord's house. Currently I am serving a mission in Toronto Canada because there are people out there who don't know how much they need the gospel. I'm going to help them find their savior so that he can bless their lives and help them fight through the hard parts. I love the gospel and my savior so much I just have to share it! :)
