Hi I'm Randy

I am a Mormon convert from Kansas. I converted when I was 27.

About Me

I am nearing retirement, having work over 40 years in the natural gas industry. My hobbies are biking, walking, fishing and hunting. I also enjoy studying the stock market.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Latter-Day Saint because I lost my way after coming home from Vietnam and needed to make changes in my life. The Bible always seemed hard to read and even harder to understand. At 27 I meet a young woman from your church and asked if I could go to church with her. She almost fainted. I attended a singles ward in Denver Colorado and began the discussion with the missionaries that week. Everything the young Elders taught me made sense. I found the Book of Mormon to be fascinating. I knew immediately this was what I was looking for. The young lady and I became engaged, and married one year later in the Salt Lake City temple. And it's been uphill every since.

How I live my faith

I currently oversee Sunday School in several large churches, and enjoy studying my scriptures and teaching. I have taught classes to youth early in the morning, have serve as a Bishop and Branch President and just about every other job from music to book keeping.
