Hi I'm Dylan Cobb

I from Salt Lake, I'm a Son and Brother, I'm a Friend, I'm a Real Salt Lake Soccer Fan, I love the Outdoors, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Like most people in this world, I was born into a family and blessed to have loving parents that raised me in Truth and Righteousness. I am the oldest of 3 and I have a pet tortoise and a Siberian Husky. I love to spend time with my family and to make memories with them. I love to do things with them. I have played soccer my whole life and I love it! I love the teamwork and skill involved with it. I'm an avid Real Salt Lake fan and support them no matter what. I love to go to not just Real Salt Lake games, but any kind of sporting event. I think those are great ways to have fun and to bond with friends and family. I also like to play Hockey and to go running in my free time. Whenever I can, I will go camping, hiking, fishing, or anything else in the outdoors. I love amusement parks and live for rollercoasters. They are the best creations of entertainment in the world! I do like to be by myself at times, but doing things with other people is how bonds and relationships are built, so I strive to do that. My friends are important to me, and I try to be a good one in return. I love to watch movies that involve action, heroes, and comedy. I'm not the best at it sometimes, but I think positive thinking is the best way to enjoy life. I have lived a blessed and plain life. Nothing drastically bad or negatively life-changing has ever occurred in my life, and I thank my God for that. I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and it is a part of who I am.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to have been born in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with parents that taught me the doctrines and principles of the Church. Those principles helped my parents a lot in life. It's helped them so much that they gained a testimony of the truthfulness of the Church and its teachings, but I didn't care all that much. I went to Church and followed those principles because they told me I would be happy, so I did. I never doubted the existence of God or this being His Church, but I never cared enough to find out for myself. Religion was never a priority in life. When I turned 18 and was preparing to serve a Volunteer 2 year Mission, my priorities changed. If I was going to leave for a Mission for 2 years and leave behind everything, I had to make sure it was something I and other people needed in life. So I found something that our Savior said in John 17:3 which reads, "And this is Life Eternal that they might know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." I decided to base my life around this scripture. As I searched through and prayed about the Book of Mormon, the Spirit bore witness to my heart that the record is Holy Scripture and from a Divine origin. Throughout my Mission, I have discussed with hundreds of people from dozens of various Faiths about the Nature, Dealings, and Teachings of God and have learned many things from these good people. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints helps me to understand my Savior and His teachings more, and builds my personal relationship with Heavenly Father in a way I can't describe. Every decision I have made and event in my life has led me to this Church and its teachings, which aren't coincidences. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a part of me and my life, and I'm grateful for it.

How I live my faith

I try to live my Faith in the way that our Savior taught: I keep the Sabbath Day Holy by serving others and rejuvenating my Spirit at Church; I Pray every single day to keep in touch with my Heavenly Father, and to know what He would have me do that day; I try to be a good example to family, friends, and strangers in word and in deed even though I fail all the time; I keep the commandments that God has given us to show that I love Him; and most importantly, I keep trying no matter what! My Savior never gave up, so why should I!? I have lived my Faith in other ways as well. I work hard to be worthy of the Priesthood that God has given to me, which is His power and Authority. I try to bless others with that power and authority because it is what Jesus Christ did. I try to follow in my Savior's footsteps as best as I can. Even though I'm not perfect and make mistakes, I Repent all the time so that I can stay on the right path. My ultimate goal in life is to make it back to Heaven. Right now I live my Faith by serving as a Missionary and inviting others to come unto Christ. God has given and blessed me with so much and I know I need to share what I know. This knowledge has blessed me and my family, and has made me who I am today, so why wouldn't God want me share it?
