Hi I'm Amber

I grew up in Utah. I'm currently a missionary in the Dominican Republic. I love the outdoors and meeting new people. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hi, I'm Amber! I love meeting new people, trying new things and exploring new places. During high school, I enjoyed being involved in Track and Field, service clubs and student government. I have attended one year at BYU Provo and am now serving a mission in the Dominican Republic. I love to travel and have recently returned from touring Europe and Glacier National Park. I enjoy doing anything active whether it be boating, hiking, biking, running or playing a great game of football with my brothers. I enjoy reading, attending plays and learning history. I enjoy learning new skills, from playing piano to mechanics on a car. I love to spend time with my family and meeting new friends! I am studying to be a Physician's Assistant and would one day love to travel to improve health care around the world. My life goal is to improve the lives of others in all aspects mainly, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. My favorite food is Italian and I love to eat raspberries and kiwi. Finally, an item on my bucket list is to go scuba diving in Hawaii.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has made me so happy and gives me hope each day. This church has guided me through each and every struggle in my life and the lives of those around me. Because of this church, I know where I was before I was born, my purpose here on Earth and where I am going after this life. The Church of Jesus Christ is just that, it is Christ's church. Jesus Christ has restored his church upon the Earth through a humble boy named Joseph Smith. I know Joseph Smith was called of God and was given power from God to translate the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. I have come to know that the Book of Mormon is a true book by reading it and then asking God if it is true. When I asked God if it was true, I was overwhelmed with love, peace and a knowledge that it was indeed true. This was the answer I was looking for. I am filled with joy whenever I read from the Book of Mormon. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I know it to be the true church upon the Earth. I know my Father in Heaven lives and that his son, Jesus Christ lives. I know that this church is the only way to provide permanent comfort, peace, happiness and love. I am very grateful for this knowledge and I pray that anyone who is searching for these blessings in their life may make the decision to find out more about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live each day with the purpose of being the best that I can be and helping others do the same. I attend our church service every Sunday and attend fun activities during the week that help me to feel loved, learn new things and gain new friendships. I wake up every morning and read from the scriptures in which I gain a sense of peace and happiness. In my community, I go with other young women and visit those who may be in need of help and give them a friend to call if they ever need anything.
