Hi I'm Parker Howe

I'm a student. I love science, the outdoors, and my family. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm currently a student studying biology and communication. I love learning about the how the world works and am fascinated by each new thing I learn. One of the reasons I love learning about science so much is because I can see Heavenly Father's hand in all of the things that surround us. I love exploring the world by doing things outdoors such as hiking and traveling. I love spending time with my family and friends. Right now, I'm serving as a full-time missionary in the England London South Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because of the hope and purpose that it gives to me in my life. This hope and purpose comes because of how this Church helps me to understand and learn more about Jesus Christ. One of the main ways I have learned more about Jesus Christ is by studying the Bible and also The Book of Mormon. As I have learned more about Jesus Christ, I know that I have found immense joy, peace, and happiness. This happiness comes from the knowledge I have of Jesus Christ's atonement. I know that because of His atonement I can learn from and be forgiven for my mistakes. I also know that I can turn to Him for help during the challenging and trying times of my life. I know from personal experience that prayer works. If we will ask our Heavenly Father for help, He will give it to us. I know through prayer that we can find peace and comfort in any situation. I also know from prayer and from the lessons it teaches about Jesus Christ that the Book of Mormon is true and inspired of God. Another reason I'm a Mormon is because of the emphasis that this Church places on family relationships. I know that there isn't anything more important in this life than our families, and this Church has helped to strengthen my own family relationships immensely. Simply put, I'm a Mormon because it brings me happiness and helps me to become a better person each day.

How I live my faith

One of the biggest ways I live my faith is by doing what I'm doing right now, being a full time missionary! By being a full time missionary, I have the wonderful opportunity to serve, teach, and learn from the people of Southern England. I'm grateful for this time in my life in which I can fully dedicate myself to helping others. Before my mission, I served in my local congregation as a teacher in a Sunday School class for 9, 10, and 11 year olds. I loved teaching these kids and it was so fun to get to know them, teach them, and also learn from them! I fully believe there isn't a better way to find happiness than by following Jesus Christ's example of service. That's why I have chosen to serve a mission and also accepted a call to serve as a Sunday School teacher. I'm really grateful that my Church has provided me with these opportunities to serve.
