Hi I'm Patrick Carlile

Hi My name is Patrick, I am an aspiring screen writer, German speaker, and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I dream of being a screen writer, I want to create wholesome and meaningful entertainment. I hope to one day write and air my very own television show that I wrote myself. I love film and great television, I hope one day I can uplift and inspire people through the stories I want to create. Currently I am a student and am studying to make my dreams come true. I served a mission in Germany and is by far (so far) the coolest thing I have ever done in my life!

Why I am a Mormon

Before my mission I didn't have a lot of confidence and I lived my life in uncertainty and. I defined myself by my shortcomings. I didn't like the person I was. After serving a full time mission, having the opportunity to witness first hand what the gospel could do for people, and witnessing the Lords observance and participation in my life I realized who I was and who I could become. I am the son of a loving Heavenly Father. I learned that my mistakes do not define me and I had potential to become whatever I wanted, and I am striving to do that daily. I want to live like the Savior lived. I love reading the scriptures where I can learn about the Savior Jesus Christ and how I can be like him. I know that through him we can be forgiven for our sins, and receive comfort and strength through our trials. I am also overjoyed to know I can be with my family for eternity! Something that I am excited to share with a family of my own one day! I know the church is true and is the source of all my happiness!

How I live my faith

My biggest philosophy in life is you can never have too many friends, I feel that it is important to love everyone that you come in contact with. I don't have to change anyone, Heavenly Father already loves them exactly as they are and if I want to make a meaningful impact on peoples lives than I simply need to be the best version of myself. I love teaching the gospel and almost every week I have opportunities to teach classes in church, and during the summer I work for the Especially for Youth program and I love working with the youth and helping them deepen their understanding of the gospel.
