Hi I'm Obet Jally

I am a Marshallese, a Wrestler, a Reader, a Eater, A missionary Called to serve in the Spokane Washington area and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was called to serve in the Spokane Washington mission and will soon enter the MTC on the 22nd of Oct, and I am itching to go out into the field

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true, the faith of the church helped my family becoming strong and the bond of my family even stronger then before. The gospel really brought my family closer together after all the problems we went through before we knew about the church. My family used to be inactive and I still remember how horrible our life was. It wasn't until I got a call from one of the youth in the church asking me if I wanted to go to a church event that I started coming back and I was the only one in the family that would come back. But the love and care that the members shared and gave to my family was so special, it really showed me that the gospel is the true gospel of god, and that the book of Mormon is true. I know it is because I prayed about it and found my answers in the Book of Mormon.

How I live my faith

I would always make others feel welcome, be a really good friend to them and invite them to participate in every activity we would have. What I would mostly do in the church is just be the greatest friend I can be to everyone I meet. When we would have church luaus I gather the young men and teach them some island dances and they would just have a great time and a blast learning and getting to perform in front of their friends and family. I'm only 18 years old and I don't have that great of leadership skills but when it comes to friendship in the church I do the best I can, I do home teachings and visit inactive members. Going out with the missionaries is by far my most favorite thing to do, help them teach and sometimes knocking on doors for the experience.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Obet Jally
We believe that family can be together and that death does not separate families. In this life and the next we have been giving the amazing gift to live with our families along side heavenly father and his son. Show more Show less
