Hi I'm David

I was born in Athens, Greece and raised in Alaska and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work for USPS. I was born and raised a Latter Day Saint (Mormon). I turned 18 and knew so much more then my mom did, I joined the Marine Corps and fell away from the church. I stopped living gospel principles. I got married had 2 kids and my wife and I wanted our children to have god in there lives but were not sure how to do that. At the age of 12 my daughter was fellowshipped by a family friend she took the missionary lessons and was baptized 9 months later my son did the same thing. The sunday that he was confirmed i was over come by the power of the spirit in that fast and testimony meeting. I started coming back to church, I received the Melchizedek Priesthood. My wife and and kids have been sealed in the temple. I can not begin to explain how much happier I am now then I was.

Why I am a Mormon

After thirty years of inactivity, I felt the spirit move me at a fast and testimony meeting, and realized how unhappy I had been. I started coming back to church, doing service for others, living the Gospel. I have been sealed to my wife and my kids. The peace and solace that the Gospel brings to me, is something I cannot put into words. I was born and raised a Mormon. But, I stay a Mormon because I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that he saw our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ. That he translated the Book of Mormon through divine inspiration. He restored Jesus' church to this earth. I know we have a living prophet guiding our church. These things, I know, I don't just believe. In Jesus' name. Amen.

How I live my faith

Not long after I started coming back to church I was called as a ward Missionary. I assisted our full time missionaries, you know the ones in white shirts suits and ties with a black name tag. I help them teach lessons I bear my testimony and i share my experiences with people who are investigating the LDS church.
