Hi I'm Benjamin Earl

I grew up with ten siblings on a farm. I was homeschooled.I am going on a mission to Rio de Janeiro. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of eleven kids that are in my family. I love spending time with my family. I was homeschooled. I plan to go to college to be a veterinarian. In the mean time, I like researching about animal health and husbandry. I also enjoy working on our family farm. I love hiking on forgotten paths and seeing breath taking views in the mountains. I like learning about botany which helps me to better identify plants, flowers, and trees. I am an Eagle Scout. I enjoy slow and fast dancing. I play piano and guitar. I relish reading classic and fantasy literature.

Why I am a Mormon

I know there is a God who loves each and every one of us. I know there is a God because of the Holy Ghost witnessing it to me and because of all the physical proof around us. God loves each one of us personally. He wants all of His children to be able to return to Him. I know that through Jesus Christ, we can return to God and be with our families forever. I love my family and I am so thankful for the opportunity to be with them forever. I recognize that through Joseph Smith, the fullness of Jesus Christ’s gospel was restored again. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ’s true church because it has all of Christ’s doctrine. Christ has changed the course of my life forever, for the good, and I am eternally thankful. As I have trusted in Christ and his promises, I have been given the answers to the problems that I could not solve by myself, and the strength to do things I could never do alone. Jesus has also given me the peace that I desperately needed in times of conflict, sorrow, and pain. He gave me the comfort only He could give. I rejoice in knowing that through Christ we can successfully and joyfully overcome all the challenges we face. That is why I will be serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the next two years. I hope to be able help others come unto Christ and to help them experience the joy I feel each day in following him. I invite everyone who reads my testimony to ask God, if He is truly there, if Jesus Christ really did die for all of us, and if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God’s true church restored again upon the earth. If you ask with a sincere heart, and with a real intent I affirm, that God will bless you with an answer. I have asked God, and He has blessed me to know that that He is there, that Jesus did die for us, and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days is His true church restored again upon the Earth.

How I live my faith

I am the pianist for the men's group in my church. Each Sunday I play prelude and hymns for the men's group. I enjoy playing rigorous, beautiful and uplifting hymns for the men to sing to. I try to put aside time to practice hymns each week even when I am very busy. Some weeks, when I have had only a little or no time to practice I know the Lord helps me to play. He knows I am trying to do my best with what time I have and he bless me for serving.
