Hi I'm Todd

I'm an athlete, a Just dancer, a resent High school graduate and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Ogden, Utah to an amazing family! I have 4 sisters, and I am the only boy so my dad and I we had to stick together. During high school I was really into Cross Country, Swimming, and Track. I worked hard each day trying to become the best Athlete I could be. I put in a lot of time and effort into it because it was what I loved to do, But then before my senior year my father got a new job which made us have to move away from the place where I had been born and raised, my Awesome friends and everything I had worked for! All to go to a Shelley Idaho a small town that was surrounded by potato fields. It wasn't easy but I knew It was what I was needed to do. Going to a new town is never easy, and It was an adjustment but over some time I got to meet and make tons of life long friends and I got to do new things, that I had never tried that I came to love. I joined the schools Ballroom team, Show choir, and I was in the schools musical "Guys and Dolls". I learned to love the the performing arts and many other things, and I still run and swim when I get the chance. Now I am currently serving in the New York Rochester mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a Mormon family that I love dearly who taught me about His Gospel. We went to church every Sunday, we read the scriptures every night (well not every Sunday or every night but we tried!) It was a pretty standard life growing up as a Mormon. When I was old enough to be baptized My parents gave me the choice if that is what I wanted to do and I did because I trust them. But it wasn't until later when I came to know that this church is true. It happened during a simple family night where my family would get together and have a lesson about a gospel principle, an activity and then a treat (which is the best part!). That night it was my turn to give the lesson. I decided that I would give it on the restoration of the Gospel, starting with The First Vision, as I started to tell them about how Joseph Smith had a question to know what Church he should join and how he went in to a small grove of trees and prayed to know what he should do He saw our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appear to him in that sacred grove, and they did answer him. Calling him to be a Prophet to restore the true church to the earth again! That is when it hit me! I felt this strong warm feeling over come me, that I knew that what I was saying was true! And so know I am trying to be the best that I can be each and everyday because of it! That is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I believe that living your faith is the most important role that we have as members. I strive to follow the Savior's perfect example. And I know that I am way far away from being perfect, but I do try to be a little better than I was the day before. Yes there might be things that today's society might seem a little wired for a 19 year old to be doing. Such as I don't drink or smoke or any thing like that, but I try to serve others as best as I can. And I love it! There is so much joy that I have seen come to my short life and I want to bring that to those around me!
