Hi I'm Andrew

I'm from Salt Lake City, I hate cold weather, I love to surf and be in the water, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm an average college student. Just trying to do my best in school and prepare for my future life. I am from Utah, and I love it there, but I hate being in cold weather. I love being outdoors, especially water related activities. My favorite thing to do is surf. Overall, I'd say I'm just your average guy.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born into a family that was already members of the church, and for a long time of my life I was pretty much only a member because the rest of my family was. But later on in life I realized that I needed to really decide for myself. I needed to know for myself what was the right way to go, and if it really was true. So, I learned a little bit about other churches and the things that they teach. I wanted to know for sure what was true, so I knew I needed to ask the one person who knows all the truth. That person is God. So, I asked him. But I didn't get an answer right away. And I believe it was because I asked Him without being completely willing to follow what he was going to tell me. I had my idea of what was right, but I was scared that God would tell me it wasn't. So, it wasn't until I was able to humble myself completely and say, "I really will go to wherever you want me to go" that I got my answer. It didn't come all at once, but the more that I live the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, the more I can just feel that it's right. I can feel myself becoming a better person, and becoming closer to God through these teachings. And the Holy Ghost really testifies to me every day that all of the truth about God is found in this church.

How I live my faith

The main thing I do to live my faith is by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. And in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we have a lot of ways to do that. For example, I'm in college with a lot of other young single adults and our church leaders want us to have some quality fun time together. So we have something called Family Home Evening. Usually Family Home Evening is something just for your personal family, but because we are all far away from our families, its my responsibility to organize some activities for all of us to do. It's something simple, but it provides us with some fun experiences and it helps us feel more like a family.
