Hi I'm Nye

I'm from Hawaii. I love Polynesian dancing. I'm a nursing major. I love spontaneous adventures. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Hawai'i. I'm the middle child of 5. I love Polynesian dancing, volleyball, soccer, cooking, eating, going to the beach, hiking, singing, hanging out with family and friends, and having spontaneous adventures. I love when a plan comes together, but also just having spontaneous moments. I feel like that is where most joy comes from because there aren't expectations. I'm a nursing student, but I'm taking a break to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm so excited to serve the Lord and help others find the pure happiness the Gospel blesses me with. I've lost my mom when I was 9 and my grandma, who I was very close with, two months ago. Nonetheless, I know I will see them again and be with my family for eternity. I can't wait. I have a sure knowledge of this and this is what makes life great!!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church and over the years have gained a testimony of my own that Jesus Christ is our Brother, that He did suffer for the sins of the world, and that He lives and loves us. I do believe that this is God's church restored upon the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith, and that we have a living Prophet today, Thomas S. Monson. He is the Prophet of the world, not just the church. I love this Gospel so much. It has blessed my life with pure, undeniable happiness. I don't like to think how my life would have been without the Gospel. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God alongside the Bible. If you truly and sincerely want to know this for yourself, I invite you to read His word, ponder on the feelings you get when you do so, and pray to ask Heavenly Father if it is true. I promise you will get your answer.

How I live my faith

I do my best to attend church every week and be faithful in my calling. I love my branch and the opportunity I have to serve them. I strive to live by the standards set by Heavenly Father that I may be worthy to enter into His temple and do His work. I love giving service to those in need. I hope to be an example to others and to also learn from them. I enjoy talking about my beliefs and seeing the miracles that can come from missionary work. I strive to live so people can feel Him through me and feel His love for them. We are children of God and He loves us so much. We should act accordingly to show we love Him also.
