Hi I'm Savannah H

I'm a redheaded Texan. I sing, blog, and crochet. I'm a little stubborn at times, but I love working with people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 20 year old junior in college, about to apply to the Communications major and I am also getting a minor in Theatre Arts Studies. I also am the current Historian of our Student Theatre Association Leadership Council and will soon be a TA for and Intro to Theatre class. I sing all the time, read a lot, and crochet when I watch TV. I love social media and I take an interest in bettering other people's lives. I grew up watching Doris Day movies and I consider myself to be a Disney Princess.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family who were already members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I was baptized at the age of 8 years old. I had been taught in my early years about the gospel and through my years of experience, I have come to know and rely on The Lord in all aspects of my life. I know through countless prayers and tender mercies that this gospel truly is HIS gospel. I know, because I have felt the influence of the Holy Ghost in my life and I have received revelation that The Book of Mormon is real and that it contains the fulness of the gospel. I know that God does not change and that there is a living prophet-as in days of old-who is His mouth piece on this earth. I continue in my faith because I know that this is the true church and I know that I am a child of God. I have a divine heritage and I intend on progressing through this life and one day making it back to live with my Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ. I know that through the atonement of Christ that I can repent of my sins and move forward, continuing to do better each day. I know that families are forever and that one day I will be sealed to a worthy priesthood holder in the temple for time and all eternity. I know that the Lord loves me and that he loves all of his children. I know that we are more than just mortal beings and that our souls are worth more to Him than we can ever comprehend. I know that as I allow His hand in my life, that I will be continuously blessed. I know my Savior lives!

How I live my faith

This summer I have been attending two congregations because of my work on Sundays, and because I have made a commitment to not miss going to church. I love going to church to hear the good messages that uplift and better my life and I love adding my own personal testimony. I lift where I stand and make sure that I am doing my best to help others to find joy in their journey and I also work hard to strengthen my relationship with Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. I try to live in a way that I can be a good example to those around me, so that they might find the light of Christ's gospel in me and in my actions. While my work schedule did not allow me the privilege of time to help in a specific calling this summer, I have done what I can to support others by participating in discussions and being there to help others feel loved. Occasionally, I like to sing in church on Sundays when appropriate, so that I may share my God given talents with others. I also do my best to seek out those who feel lonely or sad and help them feel our Savior's love for them by showing my love for them.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Savannah H
We can increase our faith in Jesus Christ by striving to become more like in in our everyday lives. One way that I have found to be most effective is by genuinely loving others. As our love for others grows, we can better feel the love that the Savior has for us. As we read our scriptures, pray sincerely, and strive to do our best, we will ultimately increase our faith.
