Hi I'm Jordan

West Valley City, Utah. Dance, Softball, Serve. Missionary in the Texas Houston South mission, Spanish Speaking (: I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love dancing! I've danced since I was three years old and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I've spent a year at Utah State University to fulfill one of my dreams of being a nurse. The life of being a college student definitely keeps me on the run but I absolutely love it! I have a love for the outdoors and would spend everyday in the mountains if I could. My family is so amazing and my number one support. I have my parents who are the greatest example of a couple in love, along with my three younger siblings. Two brothers and one sister who I greatly adore! My greatest friends are my mom and my sister and I am beyond grateful to have such a wonderful relationship with each of them. Outside of my family I have wonderful friends who keep my life fun and interesting. My outside life has been put on pause as i serve a full-time mission for 18 months in the Texas, Houston South Mission. (:

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed with the opportunity to be born and grow up in a strong LDS family. Although I was lucky to have this, I, as well as all others, had to find out for myself if the church was true. I had to go through all the same steps to gain my own testimony for the gospel. When I was a little girl, I was like most raised children and based my testimony off of my parents. I had never really had a great desire to find out for myself until my senior year in high school. That year I was put into a seminary class that impacted my life in so many ways. Since that year I decided to search and receive an answer and testimony for myself. I've read the Book of Mormon and I've sincerely prayed to know of it's truthfulness and received a witness that it's the most true book on this earth. That it was translated by a young boy who too, desired to know the truth. I've gained a strong testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet, and through him the true church of Jesus Christ has been restored to its perfect form again. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today, who receives revelation to lead and guide us and give us the direction we need to come closer to our Heavenly Father. And I know and have received a strong testimony that Jesus Christ is our Savior, He's my Savior. As part of Heavenly Father's plan, He came to the earth to suffer for our sins so that we too can be happy and overcome any trial that we may face. I know He knows each of us personally, He knows me! He loves me! And through every moment of peace or strife, He has been by my side. We are never alone! I've gained this testimony and know this is the true gospel. I'm proud to say that I know it, I love it, and I'm proud to live it (: I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

When I was a college student I had many opportunities to live the gospel faithfully. Whether it be attending church meetings every Sunday, visiting teaching every month, attending ward family home evenings, or serving in my calling. I believe that every moment given by our Heavenly Father to serve Him and act in His name should not be over looked. I have learned what it takes to keep your faith strong and the effort I must be willing to put into it, but through that I can testify that all that hard work is so worth it. I have made the decision to serve a mission and give my life to our wonderful Heavenly Father for 18 months because of what I believe in and what I know is true, and it's been nothing but life changing! Besides acting in church settings, I am a firm believer that a big way to live our faith is by being an example. Striving everyday to be the best person we can be and show others of the light this gospel brings to our lives personally.
