Hi I'm Kailey Branson

I grew up in Washington and Utah. I love working with children. I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old and currently serving a mission in the California Rancho Cucamonga mission. I left August of 2014 and will return February of 2016! I graduated highschool in 2013. After my mission, I plan on going to a community college for a couple years, then transferring to BYU to study Elementary Education. I'm a country music, reading, and movie loving girl! My favorite things to do are listen to country music and watch The Avengers and Frozen a billion times a day. I also absolutely love my family! I have three little brothers, ages 17, 13, and 12. They are a handful but are so fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with divorced parents. My mother is Mormon and my father is a member of another christian religion. When I visited him, I was forced to attend his meetings and participate in his church activities. It wasn't the easiest thing to go through, but it turned out to be a huge blessing. I got to see the different views and gain a testimony for myself. The church has been the best part of my life, I can't imagine living without it. The Savior has helped me through the darkest stages of my life. I know without a shadow of a doubt that this church is true, that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and was led by God!

How I live my faith

I have gone to church my entire live but I haven't always "lived my faith." During highschool I attended church and the church activities, but I did not-so-good things and didn't do good things. As a missionary, I have come to realize how important living your faith is! I pray constantly, STUDY my scriptures (not just READ them), and heed the words of the living prophets. When I was still at home, I was called as a nursery teacher, which quite possibly was the greatest calling ever! It was such an easy calling to fulfil :)

What is faith?

Kailey Branson
Imagine that there is a man that is world famous for walking across a tightrope while pushing a wheelbarrow. You have watched him do it on tv dozens of times. He has never failed. One day he announces that he is going to walk across Niagara Falls. As the crowd gathers around him, he turns around and says, "Is there anyone that would like to volunteer to get inside the wheelbarrow?" So you BELIEVE that he can make it across, because you have seen him do it so many times before. But do you have FAITH that he will keep you safe? Faith is believing in something that you cannot see.
