Hi I'm Marcus

I'm a father, husband, baseball fan, concert goer, elementary school teacher, and a follower of Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my wife since 2006, and we have two kids (boy and a girl), with another on the way in January of 2015. I have a degree in Elementary Education and teach 1st grade. I am a huge baseball fan (San Diego Padres), and also love going to concerts.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is here that I find joy. The things that I have learned would be too long to list here, but most importantly, I have received many, many answers to prayer, answers that do not come through man. I have strengthened (and continue to strengthen) my relationship with my Savior. I have come to know my Heavenly Father and the plan that is laid before us to return and live with him. I have found principles that bring my family closer together. I have found peace.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve my congregation, usually by being a Sunday school teacher. I really enjoy teaching the youth, as well as classes geared towards those who are new to the church or interested in learning more. I caught the "service bug" as a full time missionary in Chicago, Illinois, where I served for two years among the Spanish-speaking community. The best way to find joy is to serve others. We are all brothers and sisters.
