Hi I'm Jihyun

Born in South Korea, I now live right by the Texas-Mexico border! I'm a high school senior, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Though I'm still in high school, my dream is to work for the humanitarian department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the future after I gain an education in public health and epidemiology. I love learning about how healthcare is intricately tied to social factors and I want to have a career in which I can serve my church and serve people at the same time!

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has brought so much happiness in my life and has made me into a better person, more than anything else I could do on my own. I know that God lives and that he is willing to help us through absolutely anything, from daily tasks we find difficult to achieving long-term goals. My belief in the church is the one thing I hold most dear in my life and it is what keeps me full of hope in my future in a uncertain, tumultuous world, and I am so incredibly grateful for that. I know with a surety that the commandments or "rules" in our church keep us safe from the negative influences of the world and that true happiness comes from keeping the commandments. This church has blessed my life in so many ways and I would be completely lost without it. I only hope that anyone reading this can feel the peace and happiness I gain from it too, and that they can have the same blessings that I enjoy each and every day!

How I live my faith

I love helping the missionaries in my area as they teach lessons and find people who are willing to learn more about Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father! I believe that they are the most wonderful, loving people that I could ever meet and I love to help them as much as I can.
