Hi I'm Jess

I love Christ and the mountains.

About Me

I am 21 years old and I love the mountains and everything to do in them. I love climbing, kayaking, backpacking, camping, nordic skiing, hiking, and trail running. My family means everything to me and I couldn't be more grateful for their constant love and support. My parents are my heroes. I love them so much and I am so grateful to learn from their examples. What a blessing it is to know that our current families and future families can be together forever! It is going to be a fun life ahead. I am currently serving a mission in Ventura California and loving it. Missions are not easy, but they are worth every second. We as missionaries see miracles every single day without fail. It is truly incredible to share my testimony of the Atonement and how it works in our lives. God loves us all. No matter what. And I couldn't be more enthused, humbled, or grateful to share that everyday for the rest of eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I am weak. I need the hope and love and standards that this gospel brings to live each day. I need it to become a better person who cares about others, because that's what it's all about, right? I am a Mormon because I am strong. I love and thrive on the knowledge I have of this restored gospel on the earth and the power that comes from believing in something. What an amazing, happy thing to believe in. I am a Mormon because I love my family. The idea that families can be together forever is the most incredible thing I have ever heard. Nothing means more to me than my dear little family, and I want to annoy them for the rest of eternity. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior. I am devoting my life to Him, because I want to share with others the pure joy I feel when I go to church. Sure, it's the scariest thing I've ever done but then imagine what the Savior went through for each of us. When we realize the immensity of the gospel and what it does for each of us - we can't help but want to share it. There will always be mountains to climb in our lives, both physical and metaphorical. What a blessing! They are so beautiful! We can grow and improve and become stronger all the way. And we have the best belayer out there - our Savior, Jesus Christ. I am looking forward to climbing future mountains with my best friend and helping others to do the same. Life is to be lived and enjoyed! Keep laughing!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living a life worthy to serve a mission. I am constantly trying to improve and be a better representative of Jesus Christ. I love everyone, no matter their background or beliefs and love discussing ideas with people. Everyone has something they are struggling with and needs to feel God's love for them. It is critical to love everyone no matter what.
