Hi I'm Debbie

I'm a mother and a grandmother, born in England, but lived most of my life in Wales. I'm living the American Dream.

About Me

I come from a humble background. When I had my children I wanted them to go to church but couldn't find one I was happy with. My marriage broke down and my life was a mess and a real struggle. My husband was abusive and he took away my self esteem. I searched many years and many religions before I found what I was looking for.

Why I am a Mormon

I raised my children for 8 yrs on my own then met the missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who were able to answer all my many questions that I had accumulated over the years. They were able to teach me how to be happy and how to keep my family even after death. My children were everything to me.I wanted an eternal family. After joining the church my life changed drastically.I stopped doing things that were harmful to me, I learned through the teachings of the church how to be better, stronger, assertive. I learned I was important and had a purpose here on Earth. I met and married a wonderful man who was in the US army serving in England. He brought all of us to America and we are all living happily. I always remember to thank God for all I have and all I am. I am happy that my life has a purpose and a plan. I am happy to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have been the piano player for the young children, served in the church library, a teacher for the ladies in church, a secretary, a leader for the children ages 3-12yrs. It was scary being asked to do things I'd never done before but I had lots of support and it was a great personal growth experience.
