Hi I'm Ryan

I'm an aspiring engineer. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'd say that my life has consisted largely of math, music, and the gospel. Growing up with a father who played Football, a mother who had played baseball, and an older brother who excelled at both, Everyone was terribly surprised when I somehow found my way onto the stage. High School musicals were the highlights of my year (along with math competitions) and I loved the opportunity they gave me to meet good people and touch audiences' lives. As far as math goes, it's a passion of mine and I hold it near to my heart. Few things sound nicer than a winter's day spent curled up on my couch with a cup of hot cocoa and a good math textbook to pass the hours. Since math has always interested me and I want to have a profession where I can help people lives for good, I am currently planning to study Biomedical engineering. The field has been interesting upon first inspection and I look forward to pursuing it in the years to come. My other interests include a love of skiing, fishing, and reading. I have yet to find a way to combine all three, but I'm working on it... Family is also very important and I take every opportunity that I can to spend time with them. I hope someday to start a family of my own and to provide for my children the same opportunities that have been afforded to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have seen the blessings of the Lord in my life and I have gained a testimony through sincere prayer to my Father in Heaven. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know it to be a true work of scripture, containing a beautiful witness that Jesus Christ is the Savior of all mankind and that through his sacrifice, we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. I have come to know through the promptings of the Spirit that Heavenly Father loves me personally and He wants me to be happy and I know that the best way for me and my family to be happy is by adhering to the teachings of the Lord and the prophets and enduring with hope and faith.

How I live my faith

I currently am serving as a missionary in Taiwan. That means that I am devoting two years of my life to the people of Taiwan by serving them and teaching all who wish to hear about our church and how it can bless their lives. It is a thrilling work and I am happy for the opportunity to serve my Lord. An average day for me consists of Studying scriptures, doing community service, and talking to EVERYBODY about the wonderful blessings that God has given me and wants to give them.
