Hi I'm Kendon Harrison

I ran track and cross country. I play basketball, and love music. Now I'm a missionary. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from high school. In high school I ran track and cross country, both in which I really enjoyed competing. I also enjoy playing and watching basketball. I am now preparing to serve a mission, in Fresno,California.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life, I grew up in this church. As a little kid I always went to the church meetings with my family, and I am so grateful for that. I really didn't have a firm testimony of Jesus Christ, until I read the Book of Mormon, and now I know without a doubt that this is the true church. The combination of the Book of Mormon and the Bible bring me a fullness of joy, the two complete each other. I am so blessed to be able to learn and grow from them. Throughout high school I went to Seminary, there I learned and instilled in myself the love Jesus Christ has for every single one of us. This is why I love this church. I want everyone to taste of this Gospel, and to come to know and feel inside, that it is true. I may not be perfect, but Jesus Christ is perfect. I have prayed, and I know that he can help me. I mess up, I make mistakes, I feel pain, but through Christ I have repented, and still repent so that I may live with him again. This is made possible by the Gospel being restored through Joseph Smith. God loves me so much he sent his Son, I yearn to do all I can to make it back to him.

How I live my faith

During my years of running I have met other runners from different schools who are not of the same faith as me, some of which I am really good friends with. The best thing I like about these runners is, we are friends. We care about each other, and their interests. As time passes we talk about religion, and it means a lot to me that they care about my church. So I always try my best, so that I may be an example to my church. In my church groups, I have organized and instructed a group of youth how to Index names for genealogy work. It was a great service for us. It also made me realize how blessed I am to know that I can be with my family again.
