Hi I'm Jenn

I am 19 years old, I work as a CNA at a long term care unit. I am going on a mission to Paraguay and I am Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school graduate, i swam, was on several school committees, played lacrosse, and my senior year i began to fill out my mission papers. Now i am working as a CNA and i love it. I love interacting with the older people they are so tender. I am a sister, an aunt, a friend. I am a lover of art and food. I am someone who likes to stay up late and sleep in. I love cold weather specially the first signs of snow. I am an admirer of music, I have a passion for searching out new forms and styles. I am old school, i like records and old clocks cameras and clothing. Something about items that have been previously owned gives my life a story. I like thinking about what they were used for before they came to me.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were divorced when i was 10 and this left me kind of broken. Up until this point in my life the gospel was just something i believed because my family did. After the divorce everything i thought i knew was shattered. It took me a long time sadly to turn to the gospel for security. It wasn't until i was 15 that i began to fully develop a testimony of my own and to learn to allow the savior to heal the aching feeling inside me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints saved me. I don't know where i would be without it. It gave my life meaning and purpose. It placed morals and goals into my life. High School is a hard time in any persons life and seminary, young women's, and going to the temple were some of the only ways i felt got me though each week.

How I live my faith

Some people look at the church and think that we ask a lot. When they see the enormous commitments and time put in its shocking its all volunteer time. I do temple work for the dead, i attend 3 hours of church each sunday and go to a class on Tuesday nights for young adults. I live my faith every second of each day. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, is not something you believe in, It is something you live each day when you rise from your bed and hit your knees. Its shown in hours of scripture study and service to others around you.
