Hi I'm Courtney

I was adopted when I was 10 and was a convert. I know Heavenly Father loves me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a twin sister with 4 other siblings. I love playing sports and hanging out with my friends. I am going to college. Through all my trials and even the good times I have come to realize that Heavenly Father never gives up on us. EVER. So we should never give up on ourselves. EVER.

Why I am a Mormon

I was adopted when I was 10 into a Mormon family. Before this I had never heard of the Mormon church. I had gone to church a couple of times with my grandma but it never really meant anything to me. When I was baptized, I have to admit I didn't do it because I had the perfect faith in the Mormon church, I think I did it because I wanted to make my new family happy. But still I was baptized and I continued to go to church and the classes so that I could learn. Our teachers really make an emphasizes to the Youth on finding out for themselves if they truly believe in the church, finding their own testimonies. That is exactly what I did. I prayed and read my scriptures and tried to live the life worthy of having the Holy Ghost with me at all times. It wasn't an immediate thing. It took several years for me to gain my testimony. But once I did, I knew without a doubt that the Mormon Church is true and there was no way I could go back. I know that the other churches around the world have bits and pieces, but because of a boy named Joseph Smith who was willing to get down on his knees and pray we have the whole piece. Jesus Christ died for all of us that we can once again live with Heavenly Father. I know that we can repent for anything. The Book of Mormon is true and its an addition to the Bible, it is not trying to diminish it. Being a Mormon has brought so much happiness to my life and there is no other way I would rather live.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live my faith by serving others. When we truly serve people with real intent and not because we want to feel good, we get the opportunity to see people as Jesus Christ and God see people. I have had the opportunity to teach little kids about Christ. It is awesome to see how they are just so willing to listen and obey.
