Hi I'm Sakhile

I am from South Africa. I enjoy learning and fining out new things and love being an LDS.

About Me

My name is Sakhile. I started investigating the church through my friend and his family. I have grown and received my own testimony since my own baptism, through the love an support of the members and the Youth and YSA of the church who have become another family to me. I enjoy good music, good outdoor activities and being able to push and better myself. I love learning new things and trying to apply them in my life. I try my best everyday in everything i do and don't regret it one bit. I am the only member in my entire family. It's tough at times, but i have a great hope that they will always be well and they will be blessed. Not everything i know and believe came all at once, it took bits and pieces and a lot of years. A lot of falling down but always getting up and support. I love my membership and all I can become if i try my utmost best in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love knowing for myself and having my own testimony.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i followed my friend to his church one Sunday after his sleep over party. I joined because it was nice and he was there. After a while they didn't come that much to our ward but i kept going and i grew in the Church. I did slip with my attendance for a while but i came back and was never stronger. I've learned more than I've ever learned and have received my own testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the restored church. I know and have grown as a person and i still keep learning and progressing. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ and I love learning about Him and all he has for me and those I care about. As well as what i can for Him and on His behalf.

How I live my faith

I live the Word of Wisdom. Being able to move without hindrance on my part by weakening myself but use my body to the fullest. I teach the young men as a councilor in the young men presidency and help in any way i can in the church. I share what I know with my friends and find it easier to be an example by doing rather than saying but i always have my testimony. I search my scriptures and try apply everything i learn everyday.
