Hi I'm Dan

I'm a recent convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I'm a former Marine, electronic engineer and work as a project manager in an electric utility company. I'm a husband and father of two wonderful children, one boy and one girl.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because as a non-member, I had a lot of questions I could not answer. There were a lot of questions that I felt other churches couldn't answer enough to answer my questions; like life after death, creation conflicting with the age of dinosaurs, justifying evil and why Heavenly Father would let bad things happen, among others. I found that I was full-heartedly accepting the answers I was getting the first night I met with the missionaries. I felt a joy and happiness in my heart I had never felt before. As an engineer, I have a scientific and realist approach to much of religion. I don't need proof, but it has to make sense. Long before meeting the missionaries, I had come to conclusions on many of the topics I mentioned above. It wasn't until I discussed these questions with the missionaries that I found the answers aligned almost perfectly with what I had already concluded! I thought, "How can this be? How can all these questions I have had for so long be finally answered in one night? With one religious discussion? I prayed and read the Book of Mormon and knew within the first week that this was the one true church.

How I live my faith

I am an Assistant Ward Missionary Leader and help the missionaries who are serving in our area with teaching and serving others. I help other new members to the church with things they need and questions they may have. I love my job!
