Hi I'm Madi

I'm from Southern Utah. I'm serving a mission in Melbourne Australia, September 24, 2014. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Madisson Almond. I'm 19 years old. I have two great parents, Dennis and Kim, and have 3 amazing brothers: Dyllan is 24 years old and married to Sally and have a daughter Ady and another girl on the way; Connor is 22 and married to McKenzie and have a daughter on the way; and my younger brother Jaxxon is 12 - not married (: I went to one semester at Southern Utah University studying Special Education in hopes to one day to be a Special Ed Teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been active my whole life. When I was a freshman in high school I started to hang around the wrong crowd and lost some of my motivation to be involved in my church lessons. I still went to church and seminary but I didn't pay much attention and rarely felt the spirit. My sophomore, junior and senior year I had friends who were members of the church, and some who were not members, but all were very good influences on me. I enjoyed going to church and I was able to listen and feel the spirit more often. Don't get me wrong, I was no where near perfect and still made a lot of mistakes, but having people around me who made right choices and helped me make the right choices turned my life around. My very best friend, Mary, is one of the biggest examples to me. She decided to serve a mission and is now serving in Roseville California. Before she left I never really thought about going on a mission. But because of her and her example and her testimony it has helped me get on the right track to go on a mission. And here I am today, about to leave to Melbourne Australia. I am truly blessed to be a part of this church. It has brought so many blessings to my life. I wouldn't be where I am today, serving a mission in September. I am so grateful for the sacrifice that my Savior, Jesus Christ, made for me; to be able to repent of my sins and to become clean again and to one day live with Him and my Father in Heaven again. I LOVE the temple and I am so lucky to be able to go to it. I know that my Savior and Heavenly Father love me, I feel their love everyday. It has no end. I know that this is the one and only true gospel and I am so proud to be a part of it. I'm a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

I thought about serving a mission around November 2013 just a few months after my best friend Mary left to serve in California. I turned 19 in March and got my call in May. I have been called to Melbourne Australia and I report to the Provo MTC September 24, 2014. I couldn't be more excited to go and serve the Lord! This gospel is too amazing to not want to share with everyone I meet!
