Hi I'm Justin Matthew Sumsion

I grew up in Utah, Indiana, and Idaho. I am a missionary serving in the Canada Montréal Mission French Speaking. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am in love with sports, the outdoors, camping, hiking, and swimming. I also love reading, spending time with family, friends, and mentors. I have an older brother, and younger brother, and a little sister. I enjoy learning and increasing my knowledge in areas I know and do not know. I got a scholarship to a university for Music Education/Voice Performance. I love to sing and ballroom dance and go on walks with my loved ones. Music has heavily influenced me for the better. Whether it be learning or playing hymns and other music on the piano or singing a song, it edifies me and makes me want to get better and better! I love challenging myself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I love to expand on things I have not before. I love to serve others around me, whether it be a smile, a greeting, a hug, a laugh, or even a service project for a specific person or group of people. I love to smile, work hard, and rejoice in accomplishments I've made.

Why I am a Mormon

I am gladly serving my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the Canada Montréal Mission French Speaking for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am eternally grateful for this sacred opportunity to willingly sacrifice two years of my life to share with others the knowledge I hold very precious and dear. I am happy and at peace to be a Mormon. Truly. For all of you that know me, me being a Mormon has done absolutely nothing negative, rather it has edified, strengthened, purified, and humbled me as a child of God. My example should speak for the life I live- the life I have chosen and continue to live. These two years will be the absolute hardest in my life thus far, but worth it. I testify this is true.

How I live my faith

I love the quote by Francis of Assisi: "Preach the Gospel, and if necessary, use words." This quote explains how my whole life has been. I have tried my hardest to live what I know to be true and not showing an example of anything negative. I believe that a person's actions speak louder than words. Also, one of the most expensive possessions in the world is trust. It takes years to save and build up and in a matter of seconds, can be utterly wasted- through our actions. I know from personal experience that examples shine much brighter than any words that sound educational or professional. I understand that becoming the best self you can possibly be takes courage, self-discipline, responsibility, and humility. People are always watching me, even when I have no idea that eyes are on me. I have felt both humility and shame for good and poor choices I have made in my life. I am forever grateful to have the knowledge of the true living gospel of Jesus Christ, who is at the head of this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
