Hi I'm Lovetta Thomson

I am a member of the Tampa Terrace, Florida Ward, and I am exceedingly glad to be a member of The LDS Church.

About Me

I am married with a daughter and 2 grand children. I have a Master's in Information Technology from American Inter-Continental University, in Weston, Florida; a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Liberia, West Africa; and an Associate degree in Paralegal Studies from South University, West Palm Beach, Florida. My professional background is very diverse and as such, I have worked in several different disciplines as a Paraprofessional; Research Analyst; Legal Research, Editing and Publishing; Medical Billing and Purchasing, etc, etc. However, I did enjoy working briefly on a contractual basis (6 months) in 2008 with the government of Liberia; specifically assigned to the Minister of State Without Portfolio, Republic of Liberia. During that time, I also worked with the Government Management Assistance Program (GEMAP) on organizing the Mid-term Evaluation Process and as a Program Assistant for the National Port Authority Reform Secretariat after the Liberian civil war came to a climax. I also enjoyed running my own charitable organization that focused on disabled youths in Paynesville Liberia. Today, I enjoy the time I spend with my family, especially with my beloved grand children, who mean the world to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my conviction regarding the doctrine, teachings, covenants and historical findings of the church is unequivocally solid. My personal experience and relationship with God, reinforced with the values instilled in me by the church is a living testament that THE CHURCH IS TRUE!

How I live my faith

Emulating Christ-like characteristics in our daily lives is a desire most believers aspired. However, I can affirm that with the heavenly father's constant presence and guidance in my life, I look forward to living every day with love and generosity toward all God's children in spite whatever limitations and inadequacies I am faced with.
