Hi I'm Jordan

I am Hawaiian. I play the ukulele. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest child of four in my family. I usually love being the big brother. I also love music and performing. I play the ukulele, guitar, piano, drum set, and most percussion instruments, and I love singing. During my senior year of high school I got one of the lead roles in our school play. That was one of the best parts of senior year! Then I received my mission call and that was one of the best moments of my life. I am called to serve in the Madagascar Antananarivo Mission. I'm so excited for the opportunity I have to serve the Lord and the people of Madagascar. I did get accepted to BYU Provo but I will defer college till after my mission. All of my favorite things to do will still be here when I get back - four wheeling, go karting, clay pigeon shooting, batting cages, and YouTube.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. As a child I enjoyed going to church because I loved to sing, be with friends, and there were fun activities. My great teachers always cared about me, plus they also brought me treats. It made my parents happy that I willingly and happily went to church. I think my own testimony of the gospel came little by little as I grew in the gospel. One of those times that helped build my testimony was when I was ten years old and my grandpa passed away. He was one of my heroes. I kept thinking about him and wondering why he had to die. I missed him so much. Then I remembered what my parents and other church teachers taught me about the plan of salvation. I remembered that Grandpa is not gone forever and that I will see him again someday. I remembered that families are forever! What comfort and peace I felt. It hit me and I knew that it was true. I am so grateful for this gospel. I'm so thankful for my older brother Jesus Christ and for the love He had for all of us. I know that because of Him we can live again and repent when we make mistakes. I know that The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have read it and found out for myself that it is true. I am so grateful to have the priesthood in my life. It has blessed my life and I want to help to bless the lives of others. I know God loves me and that He wants me to return to Him after living the best life that I can.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by always trying to be the best person I can be. I have always tried my best to follow the commandments the Lord has given to us. I don't swear; I abstain from alcohol, drugs, and other addicting substances such as tea and coffee. I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus. I try my best to be a good example for my siblings, friends, etc. I have been able to help the youth in my ward by serving as a youth scout leader. I would help plan camps and other scouting activities, and make sure the program ran smoothly. I have been able to help the members of the ward over the last six years by passing the sacrament, preparing it, and blessing it. I have been able to help the older people in our ward by shoveling their driveways and sidewalks, raking their leaves, cutting trees, bringing sacrament to their home each week, and most importantly just being their friend.
