Hi I'm Ammon

I live in Sierra Vista Arizona. I love to run and plays sports. and Im a Mormon!

About Me

I am a person who doesnt enjoy being still. I always have to be working or playing a game. And when im not doing these im thinking about the next thing i want to do. I enjoy lots of sports like basketball, racquetball, and frisbee even though im not the best.Often ill be the one who goes for the long pass but is never able to catch it. But i love to play and if i i work at something i can get pretty good. But my favorite sport isn't one that involves a team. In fact it doesnt even involve a ball. My favorite sport is running. all i need is a good pair of shoes and ill go out and run for miles. I get a sense of peace when im running. sometimes I go when i need to clear my head sometimes just because im antsy. I truly love to run and am thankful for the gift god has given me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I say this so it can be understood that I didnt choose the church because of one person who had an effect on me or that I have an amazing story to tell you where I saw a miracle and thats why I am a member. No, I have lived my life in the church and so I have been able to take it all in and judge it not based on the effect a single part made on me. I have followed its teachings and standards. I know that even though they may seem strange and difficult that these standards sculpt the leaders of tomorrow and that they were given by divine inspiration. I have also read the book mormon many times and every time I have read it i find new things and I know that it is true. It is another testament of Christ and I believe this to be true. But the reason why I am a mormon is because I know that through my saviour Jesus Christ I can be saved and that my family can be saved with me. This church testifies this to me. This church is the reason I am the person I am today. I am not ashamed of my testimony of it and last of all I will say that Christ loves me le

How I live my faith

Even before I received my mission call I was active in the church. I was a part of a youth group who made up the Latter day saint scout troop. I had been in this scout troop since I was 12 years old. Being in the troop we did many things including teaching boys life skills, serving others in ways from clean up burned houses to delivering good baskets om Christmas, and (arguably the most important) making good friends while having a lot of fun. From scouts I became an Eagle scout the highest rank of scouting and a symbol of aptitude in a man. I helped many others in that troop become Eagles and further made them better men. After I received my call I left that scout troop and all though I still tried to be involved with them I began to focus on others things. I took the skills I learned to teaching to the young kids in the church and to working for my community. Both proved difficult but the teachings I received helped me through in many ways. I would say that the service I gave while in scouts helped me to be strong, helpful citizen to my community.
