Hi I'm Rogger Montes

I was born in Southern California. I attended MIT for my college education. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an only child born to Peruvian immigrants in the Los Angeles area. Growing up, I was always interested in mathematics and science. Because of those interests, my goal was to attend MIT for my college education. After graduating from high school, I studied at MIT for two semesters, after which I decided to go on a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because of the love I feel in the church. I can feel God's love in every meeting and every prayer that I direct to him, and He tells me it's true. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon as the word of God. I believe Joseph Smith restored the Gospel in order for all of us to be happy as we follow God's commandments.

How I live my faith

I began to attend church meetings at a Spanish branch when I was 7 years old. As a child, I always loved the church as great place to meet new friends. When I entered the young men's group, I also began to participate in Boy Scout activities. The community service opportunities that both organizations have provided me have been very rewarding and have inspired me to continue that service in the form of missionary work.
