Hi I'm Tyler

I'm a small town boy from Iowa, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised here in Iowa. I'm somewhat of a nerd; my hobbies growing up involved video games and computers. In high school I played the trumpet, ran cross country, sang in choir, and was involved in different academic honor societies. I am a quiet, awkward guy with a lot on my mind.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a loving family and raised within the Church. My memory does not reach back to a point where I don't remember being encouraged to pray, to read the Book of Mormon, attend Church, and otherwise do what I should. It does, though, reach back to a time before I had a knowledge that these things are true. I have learned through my own experience that regardless of who you are or where you come from, a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ comes only through prayer and the peaceful witness of the Holy Ghost. I have felt my prayers answered and I know that the Church is true.

How I live my faith

After spending time in prayer, I have felt the comfort and reassurance in making the decision to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! I have been called to serve in the Provo Utah mission speaking in Spanish for 2 years. I know that the Lord will provide the opportunity for me to spread the message of His love to others, and I will find a lot of opportunity to grow in faith as well.
