Hi I'm Candice

I'm a small town farm girl. I enjoy running. I've been blessed through the miracle of adoption. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a country girl at heart and grew up on a potato farm in Southeast Idaho. My very first job was working in a potato cellar sorting spuds. Although I love my small farm town, I also enjoy seeing the world. I was able to study abroad in Europe for a month in college. I enjoy exploring a new city no matter where it is. I met my husband when I was 26 years old. His father actually set us up on a blind date. We've been married for 5 years now and we have enjoyed traveling together. One goal we have as a family is to see a baseball game in every Major League Baseball stadium in the county. It allows us to see several cities we might not otherwise visit. We also enjoy running together. We particularly like running relay races and have ran several Ragnar races together. My husband and I both come from large families and have always wanted a large family of our own. We started trying to have kids soon after we were married, but things didn't work out how we had planned. After years of infertility problems we were blessed with the opportunity to adopt our darling little girl. She is now 10 months old and brings us so much joy! We can't imagine life without her.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church. It's been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Growing up, every morning my family would always read the scriptures and pray together. It always set our day off right and helped us to always have the spirit with us and in our home. Throughout my life I've had different trials. Knowing that I am a daughter of our Heavenly Father and that he loves me has helped me keep things in perspective and get through the hard times. I'm grateful for the unconditional love my Heavenly Father has shown me throughout my life. I see His hand in so many of my blessings.

How I live my faith

I've had the opportunity to serve and teach many of the youth and young children of our church. I love to watch their budding testimonies grow and believe it or not, they often times teach me more than I teach them.
