Hi I'm McKenna

I love to serve and volunteer my time. I love to travel and see the world. I'm a medical student. I am Mormon!

About Me

I am a person who loves to volunteer and serve. I have volunteered at preschools, hospitals, horse riding camp for people with special needs etc. And I have served many people in my ward, by helping them clean their house, to washing windows or simply bringing them cookies. But besides all the volunteer work and service, I love to travel and see the world. I have lived in France when I was younger, went back a few years ago. I have been to about 4 different countries and plently of places here in the states. I love to learn about the culture and try the food and get to know the locals. In my freetime, I bake and cook or I will be taking a jog to clear my head. If I am not at home or on the running trail you would find me either relaxin on the beach or nannying. I am now currently preparing myself to serve in the Canada Calgary mission and I leave Nov 19 and I couldn't be more excited to serve and share the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I always have been Mormon, grew up in a wonderful LDS family. But my testimony wasn't always strong. I have been through many rough patches in my life and through those hardships I faced, my testimony was shaken. But each day I overcame those hardships my testimony grew. Because I listened to the spirit and the spirit guided me on which path I should take and how I should handle each challenge in my life. And I can now proudly say that my testimony is strong and it continues to grow each day. I am still in His gospel because I love it, I wouldn't be where I am without it. I can proudly say that I know he lived and that he died for our sins and that he wants each of his children to return unto him. I know that God works in mysterious ways and he brings miracles into peoples lives. I know that when we are weak and can't stand any longer, we can kneel and pour out our heart and soul to Him and he will listen to us and answer us. It may not be a sudden answer, but the answer will come, especially when we need it most. I know that the prophet is put into our lives to help guide us and direct us. I know that each of us are loved and if we continue to have faith we will be able to overcome all obstacles in our life. I know that families are forever and I know that I am a Daughter of a King.

How I live my faith

In the past, I have done countless hours of volunteering and serving others. Through washing windows for elderly people in my ward to volunteering with children/adults who have special needs, my faith has grown. What I have enjoyed through volunteer work and serving others is to see the smile on their face and you can see the Light of Christ shining through them. It is truly blessing that I get to share my testimony and what I believe each day.
