Hi I'm Harrison Scullin

I'm a student of the gospel.I'm a missionary. I love movies. I'm a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

I adore movies. They are literally my life. I am going to school to study film and become a director. In high school I took AV class, and it really inspired me to want to make movies. I'm currently serving a two year mission in the Arizona Tucson Spanish, as a Spanish speaking missionary. I love sharing the gospel, as well as studying it. I love studying deeply into the doctrines of salvation so that not only can I know, but also I can share that knowledge of it to others on my mission. If you haven't already, read the Book of Mormon. It contains the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Also read the Holy Bible, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, and any other writings of modern prophets.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the gospel, and with that I decided that I would put this all to the test, and I asked God. I received my answer, but only after much study, much prayer, and really finding it out, and little by little it all made sense to me. I've come to the point where I know that it is true. It's why I'm serving a mission. I can't deny what things I've learned and what I've come to know as I've been sharing the gospel to those who've never even heard of it. It is true, I will never deny that. All of the world is invited to study these things. It is truly a wonderful thing to have in a world that is continually darkening and darkening. Please consider reading the Book of Mormon. It really is true. I can't deny it.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary. I bear my testimony of Jesus Christ every single day. I study his doctrines and desire to share them so that I can fulfill the commission he has given us, when thou art converted, strengthen thy bretheren. I know that he lives! His atonement is freely there, it is up to us to accept it into our lives. Nobody can force you to do these things, it is all up to you.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Harrison Scullin
In other words when Christ died only the twelve apostles had His authority. After words many of the apostles were killed and the priesthood died with them. There were many churches started after this happened. Although they were good people, the priesthood was not with them. That is why there are so many Christian churches on the earth today. In 1820 14 year old Joseph Smith couldn't decide which church to go to since there were so many. So he walked out into the woods and he prayed because he read a section in the Holy Bible James 1:5 which states " If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God who giveth to all men liberally, and upraideth not and it shall be given him." this means if you don't know the answer to your question, ask God, He gives the truth of all things. He prayed and he was visited by God The Father and His Son Jesus Christ. They told him to not join any of the churches, he was told that through him, They would restore Christ's original church, with priesthood authority. I am forever grateful for this. I'm grateful that our Heavenly Father always provides a way for His work, and especially when it was restored through a humble farm boy who had little education. This is the truth, and we can all know that if we ask God, and He will answer. I know because He has for me. Show more Show less

Does The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints endorse political parties?

Harrison Scullin
God has given His stamp of approval for government in Doctrine and Covenants 101:80" And for this purpose have I established the Constitution of this land, by the hands of wise men whom I raised up unto this very purpose, and redeemed the land by the shedding of blood." This is saying that the founding fathers were chosen for the purpose of bringing forth this government. I follow the Bill of Rights, the constitution, and all other amendments, as far as they do not threaten my basic right of freedom of speech, press, religion, assembly, as well as all the other 9 amendments that make up the Bill of Rights. The Lord asks all of us to be active in politics in our communities. Doctrine and Covenants 134 is an official statement of the Saints and Politics. Verse 1" We believe that governments were instituted of God for the benefit of man; and that He holds men accountable for their acts in relation to them, both in making laws and administering them, for the good and safety of society." Verse 11We believe that men should appeal to the civil law for redress of all wrongs and grievances, where personal abuse is inflicted or the right of property or character infringed, where such laws exist as will protect the same; but we believe that all men are justified in defending themselves, their friends, and property, and the government, from the unlawful assaults and encroachments of all persons in times of exigency, where immediate appeal cannot be made to the laws, and relief afforded.
