Hi I'm Melody

Bonjour! My name's Melody. I'm French, Filipino, Malagasy (Madagascar), a traveller and I'm a mormon.

About Me

Hi! I am Melody. I am from France but I do not look like a French. My mother is Filipino and my father is from Madagascar. I only have one younger sister. We are very close to each other, she is like my best friend. I love my family even though we are not perfect. I am currently a student at Brigham Young University-Hawaii majoring in Elementary Education and I really love it. One of my hobbies are travelling. I had the opportunity to travel in many countries, especially in Europe and in America. I love discovering new cultures and new people. One of my dreams is to travel all around the world...but it is just a dream haha. I like creating things with my hands, hanging out with friends, laughing, listening to music, watching movies (not chick flicks, I don't like that) and eat French pastries.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the church of Jesus-Christ of latter day saints is the true church upon the earth. My parents met the church when I was 7 and baptized at 8 but I really have been converted when I was 17. Gaining my own testimony was the most important thing I needed to do in my life otherwise, I think I won't be here, writing what I believe. I had many experiences of the presence of the Holy Ghost in my own life and my family's life that I cannot say that God doesn't exist. It's impossible. I decided to follow Jesus-Christ because I know that because of Him, I am here in this Earth. Because of Him, I can repent from my sins. Because of Him, I can find joy in this life. Because of Him, I can overcome my fears and trials. Because of Him, I can have an eternal family. Because of Him, I can see Him again.

How I live my faith

My motto in life is this: "Never forget who you are and who you represent". One of my personal commitments is to never lower my standards to please others. I'm always striving to do what is right and look like Jesus-Christ even if people around me think that I am crazy or even uptight. One other thing I do is to always be grateful no matter what. I know that being grateful -even though we endure difficulties- help us to be happier and be more persevering. I know that Heavenly father has a plan for each one of us so we have to trust Him. I know that everything is possible if we have faith in Him.
