Hi I'm Tyler

I am from Alaska.I am serving a mission in Twin Falls, Idaho.I love movies, the scriptures, exercise, and Comedy. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am twenty years old, I was born in California and lived some of my life in Oregon. I moved up to Alaska when I was eight and was baptized in the Church a little late in December. I have done all kinds of sports but wrestling was always the one that I loved. I am a big movie junkie as well. I am on a mission in Twin Falls, Idaho! I have two younger brothers and a dog. One of my favorite things to do is to study the scriptures and the teaching of latter day prophets and apostles. I love the atonement of the Saviour Jesus Christ so I can make myself better daily.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I choose to be. I was born in the Church and raised in it all of my life. As I grew older I would doubt it even though I was raised and knew the doctrine, I didn't have a strong testimony. I desired to know and learned to know my Heavenly Father through repentance processes. For a while I was the only Mormon that really lived the standards in my high school, and would be challenged by all of my friends. I would bear my tiny testimony. I still doubted until I went on splits with the missionaries and started learning of the miracles that the gospel brings to other people. I would go almost every day for about three hours. I was able to baptize one of my friends and I knew the church was true and that the gospel brings happiness. I have a strong testimony now and am glad to share it whenever I can. If you would like to know more about my testimony, myself, or have any questions about the church, email me @tylerbrowninalaska@myldsmail.net and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading the Book of Mormon and studying any questions I may have concerning doctrine. I have only read it cover to cover once, and as I read it again I am learning so much more from it. I went to seminary and always tried to magnify my callings and now I am on a mission.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

No not all Mormons are required to serve a mission, but all worthy young men are encouraged to serve a mission. Young women do not have to, but they do provide an amazing service just as importantly as any elder holding the proper authority. Show more Show less
