Hi I'm Elizabeth Marie

Hello, I was born in Florida. I was born and raised in the Mormon church, and I have always known that it is true.

About Me

I have been a Mormon my whole life, and I have always known that it is true. I like to play soccer, knit, and read. I have been a vegetarian for a little over a year. I play the piano, cello, and I used to play the violin. I love to listen to music. My favorite genre is jazz. I also love to listen to hymns. I love the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and The BYU Men's Choir. My favorite hymn is Love At Home, because it reminds me of my beautiful, crazy family. I love the Church, and I love the prophet. I know that he is truly called of God, and that he will never lead the Church astray. I love the gospel, and I know that it is true, and I will NEVER doubt it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of the church. When I was eight years old I got baptized, and as I was coming out of the water I felt the greatest and most unexplainable feeling of joy. At the time I wasn't aware, but now I realize that I was feeling the Holy Ghost. Since then, I have had many times to feel the Spirit. The first time that I knew for certain that the church was true, was when I was at Joseph Smith's house near Palmyra, New York. While I was there, I felt the Spirit so strongly, that I knew without any doubt that the church was true. I have had my testimony strengthened immensely since then. I know that the church is true. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the prophet on the Earth today. I love the members of the church, and the love I feel from them everyday. I love the gospel, the Atonement, my Savior, and my Heavenly Father, and I want everybody to feel the joy that I feel everyday because of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I am a young women in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I go to church every Sunday, and I love to participate in my Sunday school classes, because it helps my testimony grow. I like to index and work on genealogy. I like to have the missionaries over at my house to teach us about, and help us to get over the fear of sharing the gospel. I love to share the gospel with my friends, because I want them to feel as happy as I feel.

In whom should we have faith?

Elizabeth Marie
We should have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father. We should fast, pray, and read the scriptures in order to come closer to, and find out truths about our Father in heaven. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Elizabeth Marie
There are many things that testify of a God. Why, the stars, moon, sun, and everything-living and nonliving- that is found naturally on this earth testify of Him. Also, life testifies of Him. All creatures great and small, human and animal, male and female, old and young are living proof of His existence. He created all things that are good. Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Elizabeth Marie
Being Mormon is seriously the best thing ever. I could never ask for anything better than this. Knowing who I am, where I came from, where I am going, and why I am here has brought me so much peace and joy in my life. The knowledge that I have allows me to experience the most amazing feelings of comfort. I cannot ask for anything other than what I have. While I will still be faced with trials, and I will still be bombarded with temptations on a daily basis, I am constantly comforted and strengthened by Father, the Spirit, and the prophet. I love the Church, I love my life, I love the Lord, and I love being able to call myself a Mormon. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Elizabeth Marie
No, Mormons do not only help other Mormons. We strive to help all people in need. We love to help people, because we love you. When I see people in need I want to reach out and help them. I know that all people are my brothers and sisters. I come from a family of ten, and I know how much a simple task can help others. I love my siblings more than anything, and I know that in the premortal existence I loved all of you just like that. I want to carry that love over into this life by constantly living in the service of my fellow man. Show more Show less
