Hi I'm Stacey

I've lived in Utah my whole life. I'm a fun-loving, adventurous, happy person! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year at Brigham Young University. I love history, it's my favorite subject and I'm thinking about majoring in something to do with that. My goal is to travel the world and see the amazing historical sights it has to offer. I play the piano and the cello. I love music of all kinds! I played in a chamber orchestra for four years and absolutely loved it. I love to read. I enjoy many different genres but my favorite things to read are fantasy, philosophy, and any great classic. I am a huge sports fan! I especially love soccer, swimming, and track and field, all of which I have participated in. My favorite place in the world is the Redwood Forest. Beautiful trees! I love to camp and hike and I've been to many National Parks around Utah, my favorite of which is Zions. My favorite things about every day are spending time with my family, reading good books, and eating good food!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. I have been strengthened and blessed so much in my life because of this gospel. I take great comfort in knowing that I am a child of God, and that he loves me and that he knows me intimately and completely. I know that my Savior lives today and that it is because of Him that I can be washed clean of all my sins. He loved each and every one of us enough to die for us and to Atone for our sins. But He also rose from the dead, and because of this, I will one day too. Death is not the end. Because I have the Savior in my life, I am able to feel strength and comfort when I am down and depressed. He is there for me when no one else is. He understands my pain and my sorrows and my temptations, and He wants nothing more for me than to reach out and accept His help. This gospel has been my greatest joy. I know, without a doubt, that it is true. The gospel blesses lives, and strengthens families. It brings joy and gives me an anchor, so that when life goes wrong sometimes, I still have hope. My faith gives me hope, and hope gives me peace and joy. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings or opportunities to serve in my ward. I have been in mostly musical callings. I have played to Organ for meetings, as well as the Piano for the choir numbers. I love being a part of my ward. We have a lot of fun parties and we are really close friends. I love being a part of this church. It brings me so much joy. When I participate in ward activities, as well as when I practice my faith on my own. I love to read my scriptures. I learn from them more than I can learn from anywhere else. Living my faith also includes the way that I dress and act. I want people to know that I respect myself. I want them to know that every person is God's child, and they all deserve to be treated with kindness and love. I want people to know that I am a Mormon and that I love it.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Stacey
Think about something that is really important to you. Would you want to share this thing with other people? Would you want other people to know how much it means to your life? Wouldn't you want other people to receive the same joy that you do? That is why Mormon missionaries proselyte. They love the gospel. They know how much it means to their lives and they can't bear the thought of other people missing out on this great joy that they have discovered. The gospel brings joy and peace to people's lives, and because all people deserve that in their lives, the missionaries try their hardest to bring this gospel unto all people. Show more Show less
