Hi I'm Calli

I love to watch and play sports. I enjoy being artistic. I'm a professional mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spend most of my time surrounded by my family. I've been married for 14 years to a great man. We have been blessed with five children, two of which are waiting for us in heaven. Our son and two daughters entertain, challenge, and keep us hopping every day. I'm now a Board member for a christian based support group that reaches internationally to mothers who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth and early infant death. I'm also a teacher by profession. I enjoy teaching children in many different facets of life - both at school and church. I love watching and playing sports. I enjoy participating as a family and watching my kids learn and develop new skills. I've even been known to coach a cheer squad or volleyball team if needed. When I carve out a little me time I really enjoy creating and crafting. I've started taking classes to encourage that part of me to shine. We get to help out on Grandma's farm a lot and I'm loving it! I've changed from a city girl to a hay slinging, cow loving, farm girl. I love the simple life!

Why I am a Mormon

My father had grown up not knowing who God or Jesus was and felt "different" than his friends. My parents didn't want me to feel that way so when I was a young child my parents searched for a church home in which to raise their family. They went to many churches and felt that something was missing. Eventually, a neighbor introduced them to the missionaries. After many lessons, much study, and fervent prayer my parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. To this day my parents remain faithful to the gospel. They instilled in me the necessity of gaining my own testimony. As I grew and developed so did my testimony of the Bible and the Book of Mormon, of living prophets, and of eternal families. I am so grateful for the desire my parents had to raise me with a knowledge our Lord and Savior. Today, I continue to live the principles of the gospel that I've learned to be true and instill that knowledge in my children.

How I live my faith

For the last 8 years I've worked in the Primary, which is the children's organization in our church. I've enjoyed teaching the children and watching their testimonies grow as they learn the gospel and feel the love of the Lord. One of the things I love most is singing with them. I'm now moving on to another position of service and I'm looking forward to what that will bring.
