Hi I'm Michelle

I grew up in Arizona. My passion is the ocean. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy eating food until I look pregnant. Reading, sleeping in, playing video games, and being in the ocean are some of my favorite past times. I am lucky to say that I've been a member my whole life and that my family is still together. Moving from the desert to an island paradise was surprisingly tough, but the beach and living with members of the LDS church are what have comforted and strengthened me.

Why I am a Mormon

First, I am not a Mormon because my parents told me to be. Yes, I felt like I was forced to go when I was younger, but as I started to form my own thoughts and opinions, probably around 12 years, I realized that my parents actually were doing what was best for me(whaat??). This church is the best thing in my life(my family next) because it teaches that I can always become a better person and I can always come back from whatever trial or situation I put myself in. It gives me comfort when I think that I cannot be comforted. It has caused miracles to be placed in my life. I know this church is true and it really is the only church that makes complete sense of why I'm here, where I came from, and where I am going.

How I live my faith

Right now I do not have a calling, but I was District Leader in my last ward. What I was supposed to do was to go to assigned sisters and made sure that they were keeping in contact with the girls they were supposed to visit teach. Visit teaching is where a companionship of women go to other women in the church and fellowship with them and make sure they are getting what they need, as well as leave a spiritual thought or lesson for them to think about for the week. I realize that I should have worked a lot harder to make sure the women were getting what they need and that may be why I do not have a calling yet. I try and stay involved in ward events because I know they are there for me and I should take advantage of them. This church is very focused on making sure that it includes and takes care of everyone and that is one of my favorite things about it.
