Hi I'm Chrissy

I'm serving a mission in Samara, Russia. I love Music with a passion, Love seeing people happy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have completed a year of school at Brigham Young University studying violin performance. I love music! It has such a powerful influence on me. I am currently serving a mission in Russia. I come from a big family and love them with all my heart. I LOVE the Gospel!!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to really know for myself that it is True. I have observed other religions and beliefs and have Never felt the peace and truth from them that this church brings. I know that The Lord is aware of All of us and loves us each so much more than we could ever know. I know that His Gospel has indeed been restored to us and we have that true knowledge today! It is so wonderful to know of that! I know that the Book of Mormon really is true and is from God under the direction of His servants. I Love this Gospel with all my heart!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live it everyday. I read the scriptures, pray, and try to keep the Spirit around always. I love to help out others where I can.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Chrissy
I used to wonder why it is only the men that can hold the priesthood, why not woman- Why would only the men have the privilege of holding the very power of God on earth and woman could not? Then someone very dear to me gave me an answer that has always stuck with me. They told me that men and woman have Different roles in this life; men have the gift to hold the priesthood but woman have the gift to bear the children of God into the world and raise them up. I thought about this a lot. these two roles are both of utmost importance. Both man and woman have been given such mighty gifts that we are expected to honor and work by. Show more Show less
