Hi I'm Hannah

I am an art student. I am a missionary. I am a Mormon.

About Me

In school, I'm majoring in interior design and minoring in business, art history, and possibly French. I've only attended one year of school so far, but credit-wise I'm a junior. Although I do get flack for my choice of major, I absolutely love interior design. Design is my passion, and I feel so lucky being able to study it in college. My dream is to design hotels and resorts. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, running, tennis, skiing, reading, writing, painting, drawing, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family, so I've been exposed to religion my whole life. I've always believed in God, but it wasn't until 9th grade that I developed my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I used to go to a private school, and 9th grade was the year I transitioned over to public school. I was absolutely terrified! Everyone else had been going to school together for years, so the friend groups were already established. On top of that, I was pretty shy so making friends was hard. I felt completely alone. When it seemed like I had nothing to lean on, I turned to the Book of Mormon. My family had read it together numerous times before, but this was the first time I read it on my own. I read for about 15 minutes every day, and after a few weeks, my school life started changing. The Book of Mormon testifies of Christ and His love for mankind. I had been told that Christ loved me my whole life, but it wasn't until I read the Book of Mormon, that idea moved from my head to my heart. Even though I still had troubles, I no longer felt discouraged because I knew that I had a Savior who loved me. I no longer felt alone, I was happier, and I started making friends. When I finished the Book of Mormon, I prayed, asking God if it was true. The answer couldn't have been more clear. I felt a wave of warmth wash over me, and I knew with all my heart that everything I had read was true -- I truly became converted.

How I live my faith

I am currently taking time off of school in order to serve a mission. I will be serving in the Romania / Moldova mission, and I can hardly wait to go! I'm so excited for this great opportunity to help others and share the gospel.
